So I did this once before and the response was absolutely amazing, so here it goes again. I figured a second attempt deserves a whole new post.
As many of my followers, friends, and family know, my husband Gavin is transgender. He has started hormones is finding great success with them but on a daily basis is struggling with his chest. It’s incredibly hard for him sometimes, as simple things that a lot of people would take for granted prove difficult for him. He can’t go anywhere without wearing a binder under his shirt, which is extremely hard in this current weather. He encounters extreme dysphoria on a daily basis, which is hard to watch. I want more than anything for him to be happy and confident with his body.
We don’t make a lot of money and we save what we can for this. We need to save up about $7,800 for this surgery, of which we have currently about $500. I’m not idealistic enough to think that through donations and our own saving we’ll reach this goal any time soon, but every little bit will help us get there. The fact that we’ve received so much support and so many donations thus far floors me and I thank each and every person who’s helped us along the way.
All that said, if you could reblog this and spread the word, we’d really appreciate it. I’d like this to reach as many people as it can.
